Police in Kikuyu are investigating the mysterious death of two people whose bodies were recovered dumped along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.
It was reported that unidentified people in a saloon car dumped the bodies of the two at Kiambaa area in Kikuyu on Sunday evening and later sped off.
Those who witnessed the occurrence are said to have paid little attention to the incident since it was not clear that they had dumped something since the area is bushy.
Police recovered the bodies after they were alerted by the local residents. The bodies were stuffed inside a sack.
Police questioned the people who informed them of a saloon car that made a brief stop at Kiambaa area.
"The bodies of the two were found inside a sack along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway at Kiambaa area. We are investigating the killings even as we alert other police stations incase of reports of missing persons,” said Kikuyu police boss Mutune Maweo.
Jane Wangari, who was among the crowd that gathered at the scene of the incident, said she was shocked to see such inhumane acts done on people.
The bodies of the deceased were preserved at the City mortuary pending investigations and a post mortem examination.
