A cloud of mystery surrounds the sudden demise of a rugby player alleged to have been killed by his wife in an unclear circumstances in Nakuru Saturday night.
According to reports, Mike Okombe’s body had two wounds, one on the left side of the chest and another on the cheek.
At the time of the incident, Okombe who was a player in the Kenya 15s squad is alleged to have been at a birthday party organized by his sister-in-law.
According to sources who spoke to the media on condition of anonymity, the party was attended by over seven people who were all inside the room at Kiamunyi in Nakuru when the incident occurred.
A misunderstanding is alleged to have arisen between the two and the woman rushed to the kitchen, picked a knife and stabbed him.
The mystery comes in that thought the attack occurred in the house there was no trace of blood in the house.
A car belonging to the suspect's sister was used to rush Okombe to Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
