The chairlady was speaking during a three day Maendeleo Ya Wanawake Organization (MYWO) workshop for leaders from the Rift Valley region.

The workshop was officially was opened on Monday by the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs Mrs Zeinab Hussein at Milele Resort hotel in Nakuru town.

She decried that the country has a government and constitution that should be followed and that the CORD leaders should follow the stipulated rule of law to address their grievances.

“As women leaders we should strive to be transparent and accountable in bid to fight corruption and avoid been dragged in the corruption mess as it hampers development,” she said

According to the National Chairlady, corruption seriously hampered development in major sectors of society hence the need for concerted efforts to combat it.

She called on women to nurture good morals in their families to enable society grow up with integrity.
