Kiambu Mzee shocks the body guards and Githurai residents after he matches to make an acquaintance with Kiambu County governor William Kabogo.
The Mzee said that his dream was to personally meet the governor whom, according to his testimony, has always elected to office.
Mzee Jacob Maina, 89 revealed to the press that he has been following the governor from Githunguri, Kiambu and every other place the governor was going just to have a chance to make an acquaintance with the county Boss.
“I have been following the governor from different places but I have never been able to reach him, now that I have met and greeted him, I am proud of myself for making friendship with him,” said Mzee Maina.
According to Mzee Maina, Kabogo is a God chosen leader and ever since he began his career as a politician in Kiambu.
He said that Kabogo is like his son and meting him in person was a dream come true and if he will still be alive, Kabogo will continue enjoying his loyalty and his votes.
Mzee expressed his concerns with leaders who have malicious intention to impeach his ‘son’ saying they are still young in politics and they know nothing compared to the governor.
The Mzee also mentioned the many development Kabogo has established citing the Bursary Funds, Fire Brigades, establishment of hospitals in Kiambu terming Kabogo as a leader of the people.
Mzee Maina who was speaking on Monday in Githurai Estate in Ruiru sub-county where Governor Kabogo was disbursing Bursary Funds to the sub-county residents, felt relieved after a long hustle to meet the governor, a dream which he said has already been fulfilled.
Kabogo on his part promised to support Mzee Maina in his endeavours and urged the residents to respect the elderly who fought for our independence in one way or another.
The governor was issuing bursaries to beneficiaries from Ruiru and Githunguri sub-counties earlier on Monday.
