Retired president Daniel Moi is not dead.
Moi's spokesperson Lee Njiru dispelled rumours that were doing rounds on social media that Kenya's second president had died.
According to the social media reports, the elderly Moi was alleged to have died after suffering from cancer at his Kabarak home in Nakuru County.
‘Mzee Moi is well and busy. Those spreading such rumors are sick in the head," stated Njiru who was quoted by the Star on Thursday .
This follows a similar report in one of the blogs that Naliaka of the local TV programme Papa Shirandula which airs on Citizen TV, whose real name Daisy Odeko, was dead.
In the said story, a photo of Awinja, another actress in the same programme and whose real name is Jacky Vike, was featured in which she appeared really sad , an act which was meant to sell the story.
The story most certainly came to the attention of Awinja who lashed out at the blog saying it has caused many of her fans emotional distress.
Through social, media, the actress has clarified that Naliaka is very much alive.
