Nacada CEO Victor Okioma said that for the war to be won, the entire society has to be involved in it

He called on religious institutions, county governments and the private sector to get involved in the war against drugs saying that the government cannot make it on its own.

“The war on drugs is not a preserve of the government and that is why other players including the county governments and the churches must get involved for it to be a success,” said Okioma.

At the same time Okioma warned drug rehabilitation centers which he said were not compiling with NACADA set standards.

He warned that the agency will not hesitate to revoke licenses for such rehab centers.

Okioma spoke during the official opening of the Presbyterian care center in Mbaruk, Gilgil constituency.
