According to former Naivasha legislator John Mututho, “the chiefs will be mandated to call a public baraza where members of the public will participate and give their own views, and the specific bars, clubs and spirit outlets to receive the legal document”.

Mututho who is the NACADA chair, said the board will also come up with a special license that will be handed to all counties, who will then circulate it to the businessmen.

Speaking to reporters at Gilgil on Wednesday, Mututho said “The move is meant to curb poor license issuance in the counties, most of which are not trusted in the process”.
