Local producer and musician Naiboi is expected to grace Maseno University's opening Semester Party.
The bash is scheduled to happen on Friday 1st June at Graduation Square in the University from 6:00am.
The musician will feature on stage alongside DJ Vincy, DJ Chess, and MC Ben Jete.
SOMU Director of Entertainment Musa Haji confirmed on Tuesday that Naiboi was going to be live on stage during the ceremony to welcome the new first years in the institution.
He urged the staff and students to come in large numbers to celebrate the university's culture.
"It’s official now. He will be present. The deal is sealed. I welcome the Maseno fraternity to attend this event come June 1st," said Haji.
Majority of students have expressed their pleasure after the news broke out that Naiboi was the one set to grace the annual event.
"Naiboi is a great entertainer. Good work from the director to get the deal sealed. I don't think it will be boring," said Kevin Omariba, an Economics student in the institution.
Naiboi is known for his hit songs such as Wanna be and Love you. He has also featured alongside other international musicians such as Fuse ODG.
