The Nairobi county government has sacked two askaris on allegations of bribery.
It was said that the two solicited for bribes from hawkers in the city's Central Business District.
They allegedly asked for the money so as to allow hawkers to continue operating on the streets illegally.
Their sacking comes just three days after seven other county askaris were charged with robbing hawkers during their raids on Sunday.
The seven were however released on a cash bail of Sh100 000 each after they denied the charges.
Their cases will be heard on November 29 and 30 this year.
