The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KPMD) has named the clinic where blogger June Wanza’s breast enlargement operation that caused her death.

KMPD Board chief executive Daniel Yumbya said Wanza underwent the cosmetic surgery at Surgeoderm Healthcare in Nairobi.

Surgeoderm is located at Theta Lane in Nairobi’s Kilimani area.

KMPD said they are investigating the circumstances under which the woman died.

Wanza died on June 8 after he was rushed to the Nairobi Hospital when her health deteriorated days after the cosmetic surgery.

Sources at the Nairobi Hospital said the deceased had her intestines ruptured during the procedure which led to spilling of waste in the stomach.

The spilling caused an infection.
