The Nairobi County government has allocated a massive Sh180 million to empower the city youth on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) through infrastructural development.

According to the county executive boss on ICT, Education Youth and Social Services, Ann Lokidor, the county is set to establish E –learning zones at the one stop youth information resource centres in Ofafa and Maringo areas to empower the unemployed youth.

The county official further said plans were also underway to establish Wifi hotspot zones at the various county social halls, vocational training centres and libraries in a bid to ensure the youth get full access free internet.

"We have set up plans to establish e-learning projects that will see young people enjoy free internet which will enhance social communication and capacity building networks," Lokidor stated.

She said part of the county's future plans is to rehabilitate one-stop centres and establish youth resource halls at sub-county levels fully equipped with modern ICT infrastructure.
