Structures owned by the small business owner were brought down by the Nairobi County government.
The structures were demolished because they were on road reserves to pave way for road construction.
Residents have in the past lamented about the deplorable state of the roads and there was a need for them to be expanded and repaired.
Kennedy Kamau, a father of two, had his shop demolished and was left stranded wondering what to do next.
''This is what I have been using to feed my family and now it has been brought down. I appeal to our governor to give us an alternative place to set up shops.'' Mr. Kamau said.
Most of the small businesspeople whose structures were demolished complained of being given short notice with some saying that they were just given a three-day notice.
