Nairobi First Lady Primrose Mbuvi has began a campaign of extending philanthropy to the less fortunate in society ahead of the Christmas celebrations.

In her campaign start, Ms Mbuvi on Friday visited and donated gifts to orphaned children in Kayole.

She promised to go on with the visits and reach out to as many children's homes as possible.

"It was an early Christmas gift for children from Kayole Children's home after Nairobi County First Lady Mrs Primrose Mbuvi donated a number of household goods and food stuff to them," read a post on the governor's Facebook page.

"The first lady has declared that she will visit and donate to all children's homes in Nairobi ahead of Christmas and Happy New Year celebrations. She also has good plans in addressing the street children challenge," the post added.
