With the the 10th edition of the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) under-18 championships set to begin this week, hotels in Nairobi are filled with guests.

Kenya is the second African country to host the event which has attracted over 2,000 athletes from some 130 countries.

Most teams have already set foot in the country, with tens of thousands of game lovers expected to grace the five-day event.

A spot check at city hotels has indicated rooms are booked to the end of August, four weeks after the athletics event.
