The race to unseat Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero continues to gain momentum, with the incumbent saying he is confident none of his competitors can unseat him.
Independent candidate Peter Kenneth has dismissed his two competitors Evans Kidero and Mike Sonko, claiming their poor leadership skills was a big shame to Nairobi.
Sonko on the other hand wants Kenneth to abandon his bid and throw his weight behind him, saying it is the only way to win against Kidero.
“I’m appealing to my friend Peter Kenneth to come and we work together. Nairobi is large and we have many slots he can secure, even with the president if we form the next government he can get a ministerial appointment,” said Sonko.
“I’m appealing to him, wherever he is, let him come we work together and develop this great city,” he added.
Kenneth on the other side blames poor infrastructure and underdevelopment on Governor Kidero and his senator Miko Sonko, saying the two are to blame for the poor state and do not deserve another chance.
“It is unacceptable that a city like Nairobi, a city that we would like to take pride in as one of the biggest cities in Africa has serious water problems,” said Kenneth.
Kidero also thinks the Nairobi gubernatorial seat is a two-horse race between him and Sonko, and he feels he has the upper hand.
