[Photo/businessdailyafrica.com]The National Environment and Management Authority (NEMA) has put traders in Nairobi markets over use of plastic bags.NEMA director Geoffrey Wahungu said despite the authority banning use of plastic bags last year, some traders were still using them and warned of a stern action.He named City Park, City Market, Gikomba, Ngara and Mlolongo as some of the markets resisting the ban."I am warning the chairpersons of markets and committee members who are assisting traders to smuggle plastic bags from other countries and resisting arrest that their days are numbered," Wahungu said on Thursday speaking to the press in Nairobi.The director said unlike before when the authority was working single-handedly in implementing the ban, it was now collaborating with police officers and county enforcement authorities to arrest those found using plastic bags."From now onwards, police and county enforcement officers are allowed to stop vehicles, inspect and arrest
