Twelve Nairobi county assembly members and the the deputy speaker have been summoned by the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission over violence that occurred at the county assembly durng a hearing on the impachment of Governor Evans Kidero.

The fight broke out after Viwandani MCA Samwel Nyang'wara stood to table the motion that he sponsored to impeach Kidero.

In a letter dated 1st November 2016, EACC asked the MCAs to appear before its detectives between November 4 and November 10, 2016.

Dandora Phase 4 Ward Representative Dan Oria will appear before the EACC on November 7, nominated MCA Alexina Likono Moddy and Elizabeth Akinyi Manyala (Kayole South) will also appear on the same day.

On November 8,Joyce Bocha Nabwire, Florence Achieng Athembo Catherine Apiya Okoth will face the commision.

Peter Anyule Imwatok (Makongeni), Tabitha Wothaya Ngigirigi and Rose Kula (nominated) will face the EACCon November 9

Peter Owera Oluoch (Huruma), Wilfred Oluoch Odalo (Mabatini) and Maurice Gari Otieno (Nairobi West), will be before the commision on november 10th.

EACC investigators will look into the MCAs conduct as mentioned above behaviour at the county assemby.

The main aim of the commission is an attempt to shed light on exactly what transpired on the date of the violance.

“Take notice that failure to adhere to this notice will attract penal consequences,” the latter stated.
