[Photo/ The Star]Kenya police have been on the receiving end after a section of the public and human right activist who claim that they are using excessive force to deal with demonstrators in political protests.However, Nairobi Police boss Japeth Koome has come into their defense by refuting the allegations that his boys have been using excessive force on demonstrators.Koome also refuted claims that the police were responsible for a shooting incident that claimed the life of a seven-year-old boy who was killed by unknown persons.The  County Police Commander says possibly criminals were responsible and the matter is under investigations.On Tuesday, while the nation was witnessing the inauguration of President Uhuru Kenyatta, police were engaged in running battles against NASA supporters in Nairobi's Eastland.At least three people were claimed to have been shot by the police including the young boy.
