Nairobi is quickly becoming the center of iconic buildings in the region with a steadily-growing investor appetite for landmark building.
Earlier this year, President Uhuru Kenyatta laid a foundation stone for the tallest building in Africa - The Pinnacle Tower.
The 70 storey building in Upper Hill area will be offering stylish commercial offices with luxury apartments and house a five star Hilton Hotel, all joined by a three-storey shopping mall and entertainment center.
Yesterday Friday, the Cytonn Real Estate company made another milestone after the launch of a Sh20 billion iconic mixed-use development project that will be named Cytonn Towers.
The project will sit on a four-acre piece of land in Nairobi’s Kilimani area and will be built to embody world class standards in destination real estate.
It is also expected to become Nairobi’s premier business, entertainment, hospitality and residential place when complete.
"I wish to congratulate Cytonn for such a high caliber development being done by Kenyans. As Nairobi County government we will support you in building a productive city which is what we are about; productive people and productive living” said Nairobi Deputy Governor Polycarp Igathe during the launch.
"A project of this magnitude is a welcome development to the city as we anticipate job creation of over 4,000 people and not to mention the economic development potential it represents” he added.
It will sit on a 174,000 square feet foundation with features like sky bridge restaurants that will become Kenya’s highest suspended restaurant.
It will also have Nairobi’s largest ballroom with a double horizon fitness club, the biggest elevated infinity edge pool in the city and an apex sky lounge with an observatory deck that will be a celebration of being at the highest point of Nairobi.
