Nairobi and Kiambu have topped the list of counties having the highest number of MCAs nominated to their assemblies.

The city county has appointed 34 while Kiambu gave 28 in the list of about 559 to be nominated.

This comes after Kenyans elected a paltry 96 women MCAs in the August 8 General Election.

The nominees have been chosen so as to meet the two-thirds gender rule.
