Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has urged NASA supporters to remain calm and peaceful ahead of their leader Raila Odinga’s swearing in.
Speaking in Kibra on Tuesday, Passaris said that NASA will not be intimidated by President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government.
She said that they (NASA) do not recognize Uhuru’s government and that supporters should not worry because their push for reforms is unstoppable.
The Nairobi ODM woman rep said that they will fight for electoral reforms, injustices and make the country better place for all Kenyans.
“My appeal is to you (NASA supporters) to remain peaceful as we forge ahead with our quest for electoral reforms,” she said.
Passaris said that Jubilee government is forcing itself to the people of Kenya.
“We shall continue to resist until when Uhuru Kenyatta will realize that his October 26 purposed win was not legitimate,” she added.
NASA leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday announced that he will be taking oath on December 12.
The opposition leader while castigating police brutality on his supporters said that he does not recognize Uhuru’s government.
The former Prime Minister told a jubilant crowd that the people’s assembly will meet on December 12 which is Jamhuri day to swear him in.
President Kenyatta was sworn-in office on Tuesday for his second term, pledging to unite the country.
