Kenneth says that re-electing the incumbent Kidero would mean dragging Nairobi to its knees while castigating Sonko for what he termed as 'dismal performance' in his oversight role as a senator.
"All we need in Nairobi is a manager who can address the immediate problems facing the residents of Nairobi and generate revenue at the same time. We need to choose people based on their qualities and not political parties as some people want to dictate," Kenneth told Jeff Koinange Live show on Wednesday.
He noted that political parties do not have the power to determine who is elected saying independent candidates have equal chances as those sponsored by various political parties.
"Independents can break the barriers of political party alignments to win elective seats. The power of choice lies with the people who will wake up on August 8 to decide on their leaders," he added.
The former Gatanga MP promised to deal with the traffic menace within 90 days of assuming office if elected. Other top priorities on his to-do list include garbage collection, which he said he could sort out in 40 days and decentralisation of services from city hall to the 17 Nairobi sub-counties. He warned that Nairobians will suffer a ‘long, miserable five years' if they elect the two.
