Speaking in Nakuru when he received over 600 residents drawn from various tribes among them Luo, Luhya and Kamba who have vowed to support Jubilee, Karimi said the task ahead is to ensure every tribe supports Uhuru.
He also appealed on residents of Nakuru County to maintain peace even as the country prepares for the repeat of Presidential elections.
“Today we have met as various communities in Nakuru who have vowed to support President Uhuru Kenyatta. We are also going to ensure peace among the communities living in Nakuru as we approach the October 17th repeat of Presidential elections,” he said.
Karimi said the Supreme Court cannot decide on who becomes President.
“We condemn any decision that has been made to deny the will of the people. Kenyans are the supreme and they will decide come October 17,” he added.
On his part, Okinyi Godfrey a leader of University Students from Western and Nyanza regions reiterated the peace message.
“We came to preach peace as university students and we shall be organizing a peace caravan in Nakuru in the next one or two weeks to preach peace through music and comedy” said Okinyi.
