The fund released Sh.4.2 Million towards the construction of Nyonjoro primary school whose construction had stalled for the last 20 years.

It was tears of joy for the area residents and their children as they received the news from Naivasha MP John Kihagi.

For years, the students have been walking for over 10kms daily in search of education in the dry area and the move was termed as God gift for them.

While presenting the cheque, Kihagi noted that over 100 students were willing to register to join the new primary school.

Kihagi challenged the central government to assist in the construction of schools and the county governments to construct health centres.

The legislator noted that long distances had seen many bright students drop from school thus affecting education standards.

On their part, the residents thanked the CDF and the donor for the school noting that the lives of many students would be changed.
