Members of a Naivasha family that has been adversely mentioned in the National Youth Service scandal of Sh9 billion has been arrested.
Sleuths trailing the theft pounced at the family Monday morning and arrested Ann Ngirita, 30, who is said to have supplied 'air' to NYS and pocketed a whopping Sh59 million.
A witness said no-nonsense looking officers swung into action at the posh Lake View estate where Ngirita and her family lives.
Another source said Ngiriita's mother Lucy Wambui and brother Jeremiah Gichini were also bundled into the detectives' cars.
It is not yet clear where they were taken.
Ngiriita, revealed during a grilling session last week that she actually received money from the government entity despite having not tendered. She also said doesn't know whether what she was 'paid for' was delivered.
