A herder is nursing wounds after he was attacked by raiders who stole five cattle and six sheep.

According to Naivasha deputy county commissioner Isaac Masinde, the armed attackers stormed Moi Ndabi village on Sunday night as the herder was asleep.

Masinde said the raiders attacked the herder after he raised alarm.

“Police and villagers pursued the attackers and recovered the animals," he said.

The commissioner added that police are hunting the attackers who fled.

“We will not leave anything to chance. The attackers must be arrested because a search has begun. Members of the public should cooperate and volunteer information to officers that will lead to the arrest of the suspects," he said.
