[Photo/Standard]The management of Naivasha sub-county hospital has raised concern over the high number of unclaimed bodies at its mortuary.The facility, which has the capacity to preserve 12 bodies, currently has 15 unclaimed bodies which have been lying there for other three months now.A senior public health official, said most of the bodies were brought by security officers. "Most of the bodies brought in by police were collected along the Naivasha-Mai Mahiu highway with some bearing bullet wounds," the source said.The officer said the hospital's management would seek a court order to dispose off the bodies since they have not been claimed."Some have already decomposed and we have no alternative other than to bury them in a mass grave as is required by the law," the officer said.The mortuary receives bodies from Nakuru, Nyandarua and Narok counties.
