A middle-aged man on Monday committed suicide under unclear circumstances at Kinamba on the outskirts of Naivasha town.
His body was found hanging from a tree in a forest, hours after he went missing.
Naivasha deputy commissioner Isaac Masinde said it is not clear what prompted the unmarried man to take his life.
“He did not leave behind a suicide note as to why he decided to take his own life. We are investigating the matter," said the commissioner.
He urged members of the public to involve religious leaders to solve problems instead of taking own lives.
Masinde said the body of the deceased was taken to the Naivasha sub county hospital mortuary.
