A Naivasha man has allegedly murdered his wife for spending Sh4, 000 mearnt for school fees on her hair.
The suspect, a casual labourer at a local flower farm, is said to have had given his wife a thorough beating Tuesday morning before going to work.
The couple's neighbour at Karagita said the two had had a quarrel after the woman reportedly spent the cash which had been saved for fees.
“The man accused his wife of using the money to do her hair over the festive season. This angered him to the point of killing her," a neighbour told reporters.
The neighbour said couple had quarreled badly on Monday night, but next doors neighbours saved the situation.
The beating continued Tuesday morning leading to the death.
Area chief Hassan Guyo confirmed the incident.
The husband has since been arrested.
The body of the woman was taken to the morgue.
