Naivasha market traders are contented with development being rolled out by the county government of Nakuru.
The market’s vice chair Elijah Ogachi on Thursday said they are impressed with the level of development being initiated by the Governor Kinuthia Mbugua-led administration.
“Much has been done in this market and although some parts have not been completed, we are upbeat that completion will be executed in due course and from my point of view, development has been well steered by Governor Kinuthia and his team,” he said.
Governor Mbugua while addressing the traders said he has invested a total of Sh14 million in building of shades around Naivasha and also rehabilitating infrastructure within the ward.
The money, according to the county boss, has developed by a big extent in what is today’s Naivasha market.
“We have put our resources into good use and the impact made in Naivasha market is a great improvement to many livelihoods which depend on it,” he said.
Viwandani ward MCA Eunice Mureithi said Sh7 million will be allocated in the next financial year for completion of the remaining part or rehabilitation of the market and building of shades.
The governor was in Naivasha for the County Outreach programme -Gavana Mtaani- which was well received by area residents.
