The thugs, armed with crude weapons, are said to have raided the firm with robbery plans but their intentions were thwarted by the guards.

The criminals are said to have relinquished their anger on the two security guards, who raised an alarm.

Confirming the attack, the sub-county deputy police boss, Agnes Amjong, told journalists that the thugs disappeared after seriously injuring the two guards.

She said that one of the guards has been air-lifted to Kenyatta National hospital for specialised treatment while the other one is admitted at the Naivasha sub-county hospital.

“We are searching for the thugs behind this attack,” said Amajong, adding that they have crucial leads that will help in apprehension of the suspects.

Ms Amajong assured residents that security will be beefed up and police will not relent on the fight against criminals in the area.

She, however, called on members of the public to work with the police as they streamline security in Naivasha.
