Three men were on Friday arraigned in a Naivasha court for gambling in a public place without a valid permit

James Macharia, Daniel Maina, and John Kariuki pleaded guilty before Resident Magistrate Florence Wanjiku.

The court heard the suspects were arrested by police officers on August 1, in Naivasha Town while gambling in a street without any valid document.

They were fined Sh1,000 each or to serve one month in prison. 

In the same court, two people were charged for loitering in town at night for immoral purposes, Patric Maina and Doreen Wanjiku pleaded guilty to the offence. 

The charged sheet read that on October 2, at Naivasha Town, the suspects were found by police officers loitering in public a place for immoral purposes.

They were fined Sh500 each or to serve a jail term of two weeks.
