This is according to Governor Kinuthia Mbugua who said that the county has made major strides in taking care of trauma victims across major health facilities in the county.

He said the availability of a well equipped and staffed trauma centre at the hospital would augment efforts from the doctors.

“We have made major strides in the hospitals within Nakuru and among the things we take pride in, is the availability of trauma centres which have helped in taking care of accidents victims,” he said.

He was speaking at the precincts of the hospital on Monday afternoon.

The Nakuru County boss said that accident victims at the hospital and patients from other parts of the county will get hands-on trauma counselling as the area is prone to such happenings.

He added that the hospital was set to receive modern equipment worth Sh500 million which would help better services at the hospital.

“We have equipments that will arrive here very soon worth approximately Sh500 million and among them is modern and digital x-ray machines which will help in service delivery,” he said.
