Six suspects linked to the Mombasa drama when two people suspected to have stolen a car danced on the streets naked with a snake dangling from their neck were on Wednesday arraigned before a Shanzu Court.
The Six accused persons include two men who stripped naked, two Ugandan nationals and two others suspected to be owners of the vehicle.
The Ugandan nationals Yassin Lokorobe and Ronald Nganga were being accused of allegedly being in the country illegally and also being in possession of a snake without a licence from the Kenya Wildlife Service.
The Ugandan nationals together with four others Moses Wani, Musa Ongum, Elizabeth Wetaba and Mary Achieng were also charged with giving false information about the vehicle.
They were further charged with attempting to defraud the public while pretending to have supernatural powers and were carrying on a genuine business as traditional doctors to heal, catch thieves, solve court cases, secure jobs and solve impotency at a fee.
The court heard that the six accused persons committed the crime on September 6 this year at Bamburi, Mombasa County.
They denied all the charges before Mombasa principle magistrate Diana Mochache and filed an application to be released on bond.
The prosecution, however, opposed the accused persons being released on bond saying they would abscond the proceedings since they are not Kenyans.
Magistrate Mochache remanded the accused at Shimo la Tewa prison pending the next case hearing.
The case will be heard on September 19 when the court will rule on their bond application.
