A 19-year-old Ugandan man was arraigned before a Shanzu Law Court together with three others to answer to charges of being in illegal possession of a snake.Yassin Lokorobe was jointly charged with Ronald Nganga, also a Ungandan, with being in the country illegally and also being in possession of a snake without a licence from the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS).Two Kenyans, Musa Ongumo and Patrick Omondi were also arraigned in court over allegations of stealing a Nissan Fuga in Kiembeni during the Eid-Ul-Adha celebrations.The court heard that the two Ugandans on September 6 claimed to be witch doctors and were in possession of a cobra snake, which they allegedly used to bewitch Ongumo and Omondi in Bamburi, Mombasa.Senior Principal Magistrate Diana Mochache directed the two Kenyans to undergo psychiatric tests at the Coast Provincial General Hospital on Monday before taking a plea.The four will appear in court on September 13.Elizabeth Wetaba, who claimed to be the owner of the stolen car, pleaded guilty to giving false information to police when she appeared before a Mombasa Court.The five are said to have collaborated in orchestrating the Wednesday incident in Mombasa in which two men are said to have been bewitched after stealing a vehicle.The two stopped the car outside a clinic in Bamburi, got out, undressed and started bathing in a nearby pool of muddy water.They later on picked up a snake and started dancing with it as they took turns carrying it around their necks.
