Nakoru said politicians should sensitize supporters on the need to stop making, selling and consuming outlawed illicit brews.

“Politicians have high chances to educate their supporters on the dangers of illicit brews especially when they attend meetings.

"Residents lack information on the dangers of illicit brews in their lives and politicians should help police officers to end making, selling and consumption of illicit liquor,” he said.

The county chief stated that politicians should also stop buying chang’aa to their supporters to cause chaos at meetings.

He claimed that local politicians who lost during the August 8, 2017 polls have been buying chang’aa to their supporters to disrupt meetings organized by those who won the elections.
