Nakumatt has restocked five of its Nairobi branches in a move that could see the retail giant bounce back to life barely a week after being thrown out of Nanyuki Mall.
In a tweet sent on its official Twitter handle urging customers to shop with them in prestige, ukay, village market, lavington and mega city branches after restocking.
"Your everyday favorite brands are now available. We have restocked; #NakumattMega #NakumattPrestige #NakumattLavington #NakumattUkay & #NakumattVillage. #stepbystep #ShopWithUs," read the tweet.
According to the Star, Nakumatt managing director Atul Shah declined to comment on the sudden restocking however the retailer's communication firm attributed it to key supplier partnerships.
Embattled Nakumatt has been thrown out of major malls in the country due to rent areas amounting to millions of shillings including the recent Nanyuki Mall in Nanyuki and Lifestyle within Nairobi CBD.
Atul shah, Nakumatt s managing director has been optimistic that the retail giant will soon bounce back to its feet.
"I can assure you Nakumatt will be back on its feet very soon. I can't reveal anything to you now, just give me some few days," He said in a recent interview.
A spot check conducted on Friday by the Star in Nakumatt Ukay revealed that the shelves were unusually full compared to other days.
