Nakumatt has denied sending messages to customers warning them that they are at the verge of losing points on the Nakumatt’s Global Card reward scheme.
A message that has been circulating to Nakumatt shoppers via text and WhatsApp to redeem their points or risk losing them.Nakumatt has denied the claim saying they have not sent messages to customers and the information on them was entirely fabricated.
“We have noted with great concern some erroneous comments on social media suggesting that Nakumatt is closing its popular and successful Global Card reward scheme,” Nakumatt Chief Marketing Officer Andrew Dixon said in a statement.
Nakumatt directors added that the attack was aimed to interrupt their sales since it would encourage consumers to buy stock without actually having to pay for it.
The popular retail store has assured customers that that their popular loyalty card programme is under no threat to shut down.
They have said that they are soon launching other programmers to enhance customer service.
Just last year the family-run business that boasts of 65 branches in the East africa region admitted to facing financial difficulties occasioned by a harsh operating environment.
It is estimated that Nakumatt Holdings requires an estimated Sh5 billion shillings to regain its market stability.
