Joshua Oyoo failed to convert from the spot as shoppers Nakumatt FC settled for a scoreless draw against Sony Sugar in a Kenya Premier League clash played at Nakuru's Afraha Stadium on Saturday April 8.
The tie began with both sides showing strong attacks but it was Joshua Oyoo whose first close attempt for the shoppers went above the rails.
Sony also launched a series of attacks and it was Eugene Ambulwa who was to clear the danger from Nakumatt's goal mouth after Frederick Onyango attempted to convert a header from a corner kick.
The shoppers got a chance to slip into the lead after Sony handled in the box but Joshua Oyoo sent it wide.
The game ended 0-0 in what propelled Sony to third on the log before Gor Mahia returned them to the fourth after their win against Homeboyz
