Rev David Ng'ang'a, the Bishop in charge of the Africa Inland Church (AIC) Nakuru has passed on.

Rev Ng’ang’a died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at the AIC Kijabe Hospital in Kiambu County. The Bishop who was overseeing over 400 churches in Nakuru County is survived by his wife and seven children.

Prof Teddy Kamau who taught him at Florida Christian University in the United States stated that the Bishop was a progressive man who was a source of encouragement to the clergy.

He added that he urged the clergy to seek higher education and God’s truth as he lived to fulfil that truth in his life and the churchs' life.

Josephat Ndung'u, his son, said the family was saddened by the sudden demise of their father after a short illness. He described him as a caring and loving father.

Rev Ng’ang’a died at the age of 61 and was still active and involved in all the church activities.

He was in-charge of the Nakuru Area Council which oversees Laikipia, Nyandarua, Samburu and Nakuru Counties.

The African Inland Church is one of the largest church denominations in the country with churches spread all over the country.

It has various programmes that enhance community health by providing physical healthcare to the marginalised communities in the country.
