Kenya Premier League (KPL) side Kariobangi Sharks have completed their first signing of the season snapping Nakuru All Stars playmaker Sydney Lokale.
Lokale was instrumental for the National Super League (NSL) side scoring six goals and setting up several others.
Sharks which surprised many by finishing third in the top tier league have been hunting for a clinical finisher to aid dangerman Masoud Juma in the goalscoring task and the 18-year-old turns to be an exciting buy.
"We are pleased to announce the signing of Sydney Lokale from Nakuru All Stars FC on a four year deal. The 18-year-old becomes our first summer signing after impressing the coaches in training with his pace, dribbling skills and aerial prowess," read a statement from Shark's website.
Interestingly, Lokale also earned his places up the Nakuru All Stars pecking order after impressing in their youth team. 1His first appearance for the former KPL side ended up in a goal as he scored against Kibera Blackstars.
It however remains to be seen whether the exciting teenager will dislodge the likes of Juma who grabbed this season's golden boot gong from the first eleven.
