Nakuru County has featured among counties where one is likely to be murdered  according to the latest crime statistics.

The Police Crime Report released over the weekend states that the data on crimes reported in 2015 compared to 2014, Nakuru county came second where 4,384 crimes were reported.

"Nationally, your car is more likely to be stolen in Meru, Kiambu and Nakuru, and that it is unlikey to be untouched in Kirinyanga and Kajiado counties," reads the report.

 The report further states that installation of security cameras around the capital city has reduced carjackings, thus reducing crime cases in Nairobi. 

"Overall, crime countrywide rose marginally last year by four per cent. The drop in reported crimes in the capital contrasted with the national trend where the number increased from 69,736 in 2014 to 72,490 in 2015," reads the report
