Nakuru county leaders could be beneficiaries of state jobs if President Uhuru Kenyatta is re-elected in the October 26 polls.

This is after former county governor Kinuthia Mbugua  became a 'big man' at State House.

There has been intense lobbying for state jobs by leaders from the county..

According to the leaders led by businessman Shadrack Koskei and Joachim Njui, during former president Mwai Kibaki's tenure and during Uhuru's first term in office, the region was ignored despite its significance in Jubilee politics.

The leaders said that the county deserves a key cabinet and parastatal jobs in the next government.

Nakuru county overwhelmingly voted for Jubilee during the August 8 polls.

Jubilee won majority of the seats in the county.
