Kuresoi North MP elect Moses Cheboi is poised to win the deputy speaker's position unopposed after two of his rivals for the seat failed to return forms and documents supporting their qualifications as well as at least 20 names and signatures supporting their bids.
The two, Naisula Lesuuda( Samburu West) and Martha Wangare (Gilgil) had not submitted the said documents by close of business on Tuesday.
The seat which was previously held by Former Sotik MP Joyce Laboso fell is up for grabs after Laboso secured the Bomet gubernatorial seat which means she will no longer be in Parliament.
Cheboi, a three -time MP won the Kuresoi North MP on a Jubilee ticket polling 36,030 votes during the August 8 polls.
