A young woman who works at a bank in Nakuru town has been murdered in cold blood.
The banker, in her 20s, was on Friday found killed in her house at Racecourse estate.
Police said the woman's lover has been marked as the main suspect.
“We have one suspect in custody and initial investigations indicate the murder is related to a love affair gone sour,” Nakuru County police commander Hassan Barua said.
The banker's body was found in a pool of blood when police forced their way into her house.
Colleagues said she failed to report to work for several days prompting them to check on her.
They found her house locked but there were valuables strewn all over the compound.
They called in police leading to discovery of the body.
