A Nakuru chief has challenged youths in the area to shun tribalism and preach peace.

Speaking on Tuesday during the official opening of a youth peace forum at Manyani, Kivumbini ward, chief Timothy Kitetu said a time has come for youths to shun tribalism and preach peace.

"Youths are endangered species, but I want to appeal to you youths in Kivumbini ward to shun tribalism and preach peace," he said.

The two day forum is spearheaded by the catholic church in collaboration with Shallom Centre for Peace and Conflict resolution and will conclude on Thursday.
