Lake Nakuru chopper crash stakeholders meeting that was scheduled to take place on Tuesday 19, 2017 has been called off.

The meeting was set to be chaired by Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui.

In a letter sent to the media, Nakuru county government has cited that they have not received a technical report on the search and recovery from National Disaster Operations Centre (NDOC) hence forced to cancel the meeting.

"Kindly note that Lake Nakuru helicopter Crash stakeholders meeting scheduled to take place 19th December has been called off to a later date.

"The main reasonis that we have not received a technical report on the search and recovery from National Disaster Operations Centre - NDOC," the letter read.

The meeting was to decide on whether to continue or call off the search mission.

Kinyanjui was expected to meet with National Disaster Management officials, aircraft accident investigators, divers, security agencies representatives and family members of victims of the horrific crash.The two bodies that are yet to be retrieved are those of Sam Gitau and John Mapozi.
