Business people have challenged the County Governmnet of Nakuru over uncollected garbage.
The garbage has remained uncollected for the last four days.
A spot check at Mburu Gichua-Kenyatta Avenue roundabout showed heaps of garbage.
“The county government has failed to manage the issue of garbage collection in this town. As CBD business people, we can’t even concentrate on our business due to odour” said one of the business people.
They called on the department of environment to act fast and clear the mess.
However reliable sources have it that the casual workers at the Environment Department have not been paid for the last six months hence the mess after they boycotted work.
When contacted, Nakuru County Executive for Environment Dr. Richard Rop said the issue will be solved.
