Nakuru County government will get two Cuban doctors to assist in attending to family matters and cardiology problems.
The doctors according to Governor Lee Kinyanjui will at the end of the two years contract leave knowledge among local doctors so that they can be able to attend to similar health problems.
The governor said the fact that counties are getting different specialist from Cuba is a chance to have an exchange programme so that local doctors can get vast knowledge to attend to ailments that would rather have been treated outside the country at a huge cost.
He said that the Cuban doctors will not bring an extra cost to the county as his government will only cater for their housing and transport.
The salary cost will be met by the National government.
The sentiments by the governor come at a time when many patients are struggling to meet huge hospital bills especially for treatment of cancer in India.
