More than 600 leaders from 19 different sectors in the county are expected to converge on Friday for the first Nakuru County Prayer Breakfast.
The event will be held at the Rift Valley Sports Club in Nakuru from 7am.
Governor Kinuthia Mbugua, who is also the patron of the event, will be the chief guest.
The event organised by the National Prayer Breakfast Nakuru Chapter, Nakuru Christian Professionals Association and Nakuru Church Elders Council will bring together invited leaders from the county government executive, members of parliament, the county assembly, national government, the judiciary, religious leaders, learning institutions, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), professionals, youth, women, PLWDs, political parties, media, community elders and the business community.
"The objective is to enhance unity and harmony under the theme, “Fostering Unity in Diversity” towards the social and economic development of the county," reads the press statement.
The event is fully funded by over 50 corporate sponsors and individual professionals. In the programme, various leaders and officials will read scriptures while Bishops from mainstream and Pentecostal Churches as well from the Islam and Hindu communities will say prayers.
